Baby, it's (still) cold outside..

These are pictures from the Snowpocalypse we experienced a few days ago, luckily we have a super awesome photographer who wanted to do a photoshoot in the snow with us.
So here we are, March 4th and it's still cold outside. Now don't get me wrong, I understand that it is still winter, but I do not feel like accepting the fact that warmer weather is still a month or two away. It was snowing when I left the house this morning and also while I was walking into school.

The movie version of this scenario would have been super fabulous and I would have walked in without a coat on, made it to class on time, and I would have walked with long, runway model strides and everything would have been absolutely perfect.

But..this is not the movies, this is real life. Instead of being like the movies it was a little more like reality. I decided to dress super cute today, which included my Steve Madden chunky-heel booties. I absolutely love the shoes, but they can be hard enough to walk in when it's nice outside, let alone snowing. Needless to say, I about biffed it a couple of times walking up from the parking lot. Luckily no one saw me (at least I hope not) so all was okay and I played it off super casual and cool. Eventually I made it to class unharmed and all was well once again, aside from the clickety-clack of my shoes as I walk down the halls (this noise is totally okay and even admired from a fashion, business standpoint..but when you are surrounded by immature underclassmen boys who imitate the sound of your shoes, it is way less cool..) Oh well..I am also wearing my shiny pants (imitaters of pleather leggings) with my huge oversized man sweater that I got from the thrift store for $3.

So as I'm sure you've already gathered, my walk into school this morning was much less Karlie Kloss, and much more awkward Miley Stewart from Hannah Montana Season 3 (back when she was still super weird and lanky). The rest of my day I am determined to channel my inner Serena Van der woodsen (Gossip Girl Season 5, when Serena was in L.A. slaying the movie industry). I suppose we will just have to see how it goes, I think as long as I don't trip and fall in the snow I will settle for a pretty successful day overall.

Hope your day is going just as fabulous as mine. Until next time..

Love,

Madison

Old people to my left.

This is a picture I took a few days ago of the cutest old man I have ever seen in my life.

Dear Old people to my left..

You are all really cute and I love your sweaters. I think you probably look forward to your regular Monday evening bible study at the local coffee shop. I don't blame you.

Sometimes when I am out in public I like to people watch. I like to look at them and decide who their celebrity lookalike is, 8 times out of 10, the elderly gentlemen resemble Carl, the old man from the movie Up.

*Sidenote, there is a group of teenagers sitting right next the old people and I think they think I am looking at them, how awkward..

Now as I was saying earlier, the old men almost always look like Carl, however, one of the men in this particular group looks like Larry David, the guy from Curb Your Enthusiasm (you probably have no idea who I am talking about). Honestly, these people all kind of blur together, especially when I'm not wearing my glasses..oops.

Sometimes I wonder what it's like to be old and wise, I can't wait. But I definitely want to enjoy my youth, that's for sure.

Please enjoy this list titled,

Misconceptions about Old people, also known as "Old People stereotypes"
(it's okay to say this because someday it will be us)

  1. old people like mowing the lawn
  2. old people have a specific smell to them, like stale coffee (but it's not always bad)
  3. old people have white hair
  4. old people don't wear backpacks
  5. old people wear tall socks
  6. old people like to wake up early
  7. old people drink coffee
  8. old people drive nice cars
  9. old people play cards
  10. old people get special discounts (this one is usually true)

That's all for now.

Love,

Madison
